Aida Nani, MBA

Founder and Managing Partner

Aida Nani is the Founder and Managing Partner of Stag Consult, bringing over 30 years of experience in trade facilitation, supply chain management, international standards, and cross-border development across Southeast Europe, the Western Balkans, and Southeast Asia. 


Her career includes leadership roles in food and agriculture, renewable energy, and consulting. As Country Director of Eneo Hydro Energy, she oversaw one of the largest foreign direct investments in Albania’s renewable energy sector. 


Aida has delivered high-impact projects for the World Bank, IFC, EBRD, GIZ, and the European Union. Her expertise includes Authorised Economic Operator programmes, ISO implementation, digital trade tools, food safety, sanitary and phytosanitary requirements, and advisory work for public-private trade facilitation initiatives. 


As a UNECE/UNCT accredited expert, Aida contributes to international working groups on digital transit documents, export compliance, single window, and risk management in regulatory systems. She is a frequent speaker and moderator at regional forums.

Kevin Atkinson

Founding Partner
Customs and Trade Facilitation Advisor

Kevin Atkinson is a Customs and Trade Facilitation Advisor with over 35 years of global experience in institutional governance, digital supply chain security, Authorised Economic Operator programs, and coordinated border management. 

 

He currently serves as the IMF AFRITAC programs in West, East, and Southern Africa, working with customs administrations on management, risk profiling, governance controls, and AEO program development. 

 

From 2016 to 2019, Kevin served as the IMF Regional Customs Administration Advisor for Southeast Asia, supporting strategic planning initiatives in Myanmar, Cambodia, and Lao PDR. His career includes leadership roles with Crown Agents, where he managed customs reform programs in Albania, Angola, Ethiopia, and Libya. 

 

Kevin is an accredited UNCE/FACT expert in the Trade Procedures Facilitation Domain and serves as Domain Co-ordinator. He contributes to UN Recommendations on Single Window interoperability, public-private partnerships in trade facilitation, and private sector participation in National Trade Facilitation Committees.

Dorjana Maliqi

Compliance and Legal Affairs Expert

Dorjana Maliqi is a Compliance and Legal Affairs Expert with nearly 20 years of progressive experience leading governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance programs within international environments. She combines strong legal expertise with strategic vision and a proven ability to drive ethical culture and operational excellence across diverse markets.


She served as Head of Compliance for Dompe in Albania and Kosovo, Dorjana lead the compliance and ethics function across both markets, ensuring consistent implementation of corporate global standards. She also served as Global Due Diligence Lead at Dompe Farmaceutici, overseeing third-party due-diligence processes and delivering risk-based assessments to senior leadership. Her targeted improvements have increased the efficiency of global due-diligence activities by thirty percent. 


Previously, Dorjana served as Group Legal Lead at Eurolab Internacional Group, where she led the legal and compliance department across the Western Balkans, including Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this role, she provided legal advice on Authorized Economic Operator applications and oversaw corporate governance initiatives. Her earlier experience includes senior legal consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, private legal practice and risk management advising foreign investors and corporate clients on Albanian and regional business law. 


Dorjana holds an MBA from the European University of Tirana and a Law Degree from the University of Tirana. She is a licensed advocate with the Tirana Bar Association and holds a certification in Political and Diplomatic Studies from the Albanian Diplomatic Academy. She is proficient in Albanian, English, and Italian.

Since beginning his entrepreneurial career in 1982, George has worked across marketing, business development, strategic positioning, value growth, and executive advisory. His work has focused on helping organizations clarify their market message, identify commercial opportunities, strengthen their competitive position, and build practical systems for growth. 

 

At Stag Consult, George brings a complementary perspective to the firm’s trade, customs, and institutional expertise. His focus is on helping clients translate expert knowledge into market-facing strategy, business development, thought leadership, and scalable advisory models. He works at the intersection of strategy, communications, artificial intelligence, and commercial execution. 

 

George has deep experience developing platforms, campaigns, and advisory frameworks for professional services, economic development, business valuation, M&A readiness, public-interest initiatives, and cross-border business growth. He is particularly focused on the role of AI-enabled systems in helping expert organizations improve research, decision-making, client education, and execution. 

 

His contribution to Stag Consult centers on strategic positioning, digital growth, AI-enabled advisory systems, and the development of practical tools that help businesses and institutions move from insight to action.
